TULSA, Okla. — Danya Fesler pled guilty to one count of accessory to murder in the death of Eryion Tecson. She was sentenced to 10 years behind bars in Tulsa County Court.
Six family members spoke before Judge David Guten, sharing who Eryion was to them and the loss that now follows them every day.
Eryion was killed after giving a stranger a ride home.

She picked up Danya Fesler, who was kicked out of her boyfriend's car on the highway. Police said Eryion drove Fesler to a family member's Jenks home.
About an hour later, the boyfriend Uriel Caszares (Vega) arrived and hit Eryion with his car. She died at the scene.

"Closure and comfort, I think maybe it's just too soon, I don't know if I'll ever even have that with the whole case and it's entirety, but it does let me wrap up this chapter so I can maybe start the healing process," said Lakeisha Stephens, Eryion's mother.
“We got the best justice that we could get in this situation," said Eric Tecson, Eryion's father. "At this point we want to remember Eryion and keep moving forward to try and create a legacy for her that people will continue to know that you don’t have to shy away from trying to do the right thing for people. God has a plan for all of this so whatever that plan is, we’re living through it."
While Cazares never showed up for his preliminary hearing and is currently on the run, the family now focuses on finding him to be brought to justice.

Judge Guten addressed the family at the end of the hearing, saying he heard their statements and can tell what an impact Eryion had and that her life did matter.
The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Cazares.
