TULSA, OKLA — A cold front is bringing cooler temperatures and brisk northwest winds to northeast Oklahoma Tuesday following overnight showers and thunderstorms.
While the main round of storms is moving east, a few additional light showers remain possible this afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will stay cooler today, with highs mainly in the 60s. Brisk west to northwest winds will continue through the afternoon before gradually easing tonight. Any lingering showers should move out by Tuesday evening.
Skies will begin to clear tonight into Wednesday, bringing a return to quieter weather. Highs Wednesday will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s, with morning lows dipping into the 40s.
Another weak disturbance could bring a few showers to the area Thursday. Rain chances look low, and the system should move out by Thursday night.
More seasonable temperatures are expected Friday into the weekend, with mostly dry weather and comfortable afternoons. Highs will generally be in the 60s, with cooler mornings in the 40s.
After an active start to the week, a quieter weather pattern is expected to settle in for the weekend.
