OKMULGEE COUNTY — OSBI is investigating after 2 deputies were shot Feb. 5 in Okmulgee.
The shooting happened near 12th Street and Morton Ave.

Okmulgee County Sheriff said Okmulgee Police were serving a warrant, and the suspect barricaded himself.

Police requested assistance from the sheriff's office, and the suspect fired at deputies, hitting one in the side and one in the leg, according to the Okmulgee County Sheriff.
The deputies were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

OCSO said the suspect, Ron-el Miles, is in custody and was not injured.
Miles was arrested and booked into the Okmulgee County Jail on multiple complaints of Shooting with Intent to Kill.
Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols posted this response on his Facebook page:
"My thoughts are with the Okmulgee County Sheriff deputies who were shot today. My family will be in prayer for their families. I also want to express my gratitude to the medical staff working to get these deputies back to their loved ones and their community."
