TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin made a surprise visit to Officer Aurash Zarkeshan, who's recovering after being shot during a traffic stop in June.

In the shooting, Sgt. Craig Johnson died from his injuries. Tulsa police released the video from the shooting and prosecutors said they are seeking the death penaltyfor the accused gunman.

On Monday, the Tulsa Police Department posted a video on Facebook that shows Franklin surprising Zarkeshan at a rehabilitation facility over the weekend.

In the video, Zarkeshan is shocked to see Chief Franklin and shows some of his rehabilitation exercises.

The video ends with photos and Chief Franklin presenting an "I Heart My Chief" sticker to Zarkeshan, saying he had left in Tulsa, which drew some laughs.
