Police release dashcam footage in deadly officer-involved shooting of Claremore man

TULSA -- Tulsa police have released dashcam footage in connection with a deadly officer-involved shooting of a Claremore man.

David English, 34, who was wanted out of Rogers County on rape and kidnapping charges, was shot and killed on Feb. 17 in the 4700 block of South Mingo after a police pursuit. Police say English charged at officers with a knife.

Jered Metzger, Greggory McClintock and Chad Murtaugh were identified as the Tulsa Police officers involved in the shooting.

Court documents said English tortured a woman who had been living with him. The documents allege that he tied a rope around her neck, hit her in the head with a butane torch and would not allow her to leave the home for weeks.

Documents said that the woman, who was taken to a hospital, had burns on her legs, bruises, multiple contusions, a puncture wound and a fractured sternum.
