An armed robbery left one dead and two wounded late Tuesday night.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office and the Sand Springs Police Department responded to a call for shots fired around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 412 between Adams Road and the 81st exit.

Authorities said they found a wrecked car on the side of the Highway with one dead person and two others inside. They identified 19-year-old Xavier Foster as the suspect who died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators interviewed the other two people in the car and learned as a woman drove down the highway with a man in the passenger seat a man popped up in the back seat and pulled a gun on them in an attempted robbery.

The man in the passenger seat pulled out a gun and started shooting at the man in the backseat. The driver lost control of the car and crashed into the guardrail. She got out of the car and called 911.

Detectives also identified the driver as 17-year-old Mariley Lopez. They also learned Foster intended to rob the man in the car. They said Lopez picked up the victim from his home in Sand Springs while Foster hid in the backseat.

After being released from the hospital this morning, Lopez was arrested for first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a firearm.
