TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the people involved in the deadly boat collision on Lake Keystone Thursday evening.
The crash happened near Appalachia Bay at Lake Keystone around 5:30 p.m.
Troopers say a boat was traveling westbound in the Appalachia Bay area while the second boat was traveling eastbound. The first boat made an abrupt turn in front of the second boat which caused both of them to crash into each other.
The crash caused the driver of the first boat, Garry Dugan, to be ejected. He was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders. The second driver of the boat, Robert Lemon, denied further treatment for his injuries.
OHP says the official cause of the crash was inattention due to the sunset.
