Mother of man in Claremore standoffs charged with harboring fugitive

The mother of a Claremore man who engaged police in two standoffs last week now has been charged with crimes related to the incident.

Records show the Rogers County District Attorney on Thursday charged Coats with harboring a fugitive, a felony, and resisting an officer, which is a misdemeanor.

According to investigators, Coats hasn't been cooperative with them, and officers have not been able to locate her to make an arrest on the warrant issued Thursday.

Coats spoke with 2 News Works For You on Wednesday, criticizing the way officers forced entry in her home to get to her son John Good, a fugitive who had been hiding from authorities.
