MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Muskogee police have identified eight officers involved in an officer-involved shooting on Tuesday.
At about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Muskogee police officers responded to reports of two women being stabbed in the 1500 block of North 18th.
When police arrived, they began evacuating victims in an attempt to de-escalate the situation while the suspect, Danny Brogdon, was armed with a knife.
Officers said they tried non-lethal force on Brogdon, but it didn't have an effect.

Officers then fired on Brogdon.
Eight officers are on paid administrative leave due to the incident. They were identified as Sgt. Ron Yates, Sgt. Jeremy Jenkins, Officer Jody Standridge, Officer Danny Dupont, Officer Michelle Ogden, Officer Shawn Brown, Officer Josh Garza and Officer Donald Cox.
Body camera from the shooting could be available by Friday, police said.
