Sunday, May 6th marked the warmest day of the year so far. Take a look at the graphic above. We were actually fairly close to the record of 93° for the date, which goes to show you just how warm it was today.
Going back to last year, the first time we reached the lower 90s was actually earlier on March 20th. The Tulsa Airport reached 92°.
In terms of May 2017, highs were generally in the 80s around the 6th and didn't reach the lower 90s until late May.
For this next week, highs will be in the 80s to close to 90°. The average for this time of year is 77°.
