BLOG: Talking rain chances this week

Posted

After a wet weekend (see the latest totals above from the Oklahoma Mesonet), drier weather will prevail for Monday and most of Tuesday.

The next chance for rain will move in very late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning where we could find showers and thunderstorms. It might be a wet morning commute, so stayed tuned as we refine the timing.

There is another chance for showers across eastern Oklahoma Thursday night and Friday morning and then at this point it looks dry for next weekend.

Officially at the Tulsa Airport this month, we have picked up 1.36" of rain, which is actually down 1.19" from the average 2.55". So if we don't pick up too much more precip over the next week, we will probably end up below average for rain this month, plus no tornadoes yet across the state.
