Morning lows haven't been in the upper 30s since April 20th and that is what is in the forecast for Monday morning.
A strong cold front will move into Green Country Sunday afternoon and evening bringing with it the coldest air mass of the Fall season thus far (with some scattered rain showers). In fact, the cold air is connected to the 20° in Denver Sunday morning and the mile high city has experienced light snow showers. Of course that air mass will "warm up" a bit by time it gets to eastern Oklahoma, but we'll still need to pull out our heavier jackets for work and school by morning.
Speaking of snow, a little closer to home, the panhandle of Oklahoma is under a Winter Weather Advisory until late Monday morning. They will see areas of freezing drizzle, light snow accumulations, and wind chills by Sunday evening in the single digits and teens! BRRR!
Luckily for us, sunshine returns by Wednesday with highs in the mid 60s.
