TULSA - The Tulsa Shock doesn't just have an Olympian.
It has a history-making Olympian. They're calling her "Slambage."
Liz Cambage became the first woman to dunk in Olympic competition with her one-handed slam against Russia in Team Australia's 70-66 win on Aug. 2.
After her run through the Olympics, Cambage will rejoin her Shock teammates, including Ivory Latta.
I met Ivory at the BOK Center for a little game of P-I-G.
And folks, this wasn't even close.
I didn't exactly miss every shot I took, but I also didn't make anything that Ivory couldn't.
This would be a quick rout!
Shots from the top of the key. Shots from behind the backboard. Shots that were bounced off the floor. Ivory simply couldn't miss!
These 2 for the Gold Olympic challenges have not gone well for me!
Here's to wishing Ivory, "Slambage" and the rest of the Tulsa Shock a great second half of the season.
