OKLAHOMA CITY -- Nearly 15,000 Oklahomans voted on their favorite bison-themed license plate after an uproar following the release of Oklahoma's new state license plate design.
With 3,405 votes, "Pioneers of the Prairie" designed by Chris Miller at Cubic Creative in Tulsa is the winning design.
The Nature Conservancy will now submit the plate to the Oklahoma Tax Commission. If approved, the plate will be available for presale to the public for 180 days.
