The Tulsa Oilers and Childers Middle School bring the heat for a $1,000 prize from Whataburger.

As part of the middle school's food drive campaign, Tulsa Oilers Hockey Players and Childers' teachers will be representing each grade competing in the 'Bring the Heat' Challenge, a jalapeño eating contest.

"Whataburger is proud to partner with these two incredible groups as a fun way of giving back to the Broken Arrow community, said Whataburger Director of Operations Jason Svedberg. "We look forward to heating up this rivalry with jalapeños, one of Whataburger's fan-favorite toppings. Best of luck to the competitors as they Bring the Heat!"

The winning grade will win $1,000 towards their total fundraising amount.

The two classes that raise the most money will get to compete in a floor hockey game with the Oilers' players later in the school year and will receive free breakfast for their entire class.

The contest will be located at Childers Middle School today, October 28, at 2:00 p.m.
