Philbrook Museum of Art announces winning name for new garden kitty

TULSA, Okla. — Philbrook Museum of Art announced the winning name for their new garden kitty.

"Meet Sage," reads the museums post on their Facebook page.

Philbrook, as most refer to the iconic Tulsa museum, is known for its art, community programs and gorgeous garden landscapes.

The museum's cats roaming their serene gardens are as well known as their art among Tulsans.

Two garden cats, Perilla and Cleome, currently live in the gardens. One cat, Acer, just retired from the garden cat life in 2020.

Recently, Philbrook took to Twitter asking the community to help name their new sweet kitten.

Philbrook provided three names the community could vote between:

  1. Iris
  2. Sage
  3. Rue

After thousands voted, Philbrook Museum of Art announced the kitten's new name, "Sage."
