Roughly 25 people signed up to speak out against selling a portion Helmerich Park to a developer who will bring national retailer REI to town, while fewer than a dozen spoke up to support this deal.
The meeting was the sequel to last month's debate on the future of Helmerich Park and whether to sell several acres for about a million and a half dollars to a developer.
