TULSA COUNTY — Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies have arrested one man in connection with a west Tulsa shooting early Wednesday morning.

Deputies said a victim was shot in the 3300 block of West 41st Street around midnight.

Deputies say Charles Taylor got into an altercation with someone and when he went to pistol-whip them, the gun went off.

The victim shot was not the person Charles Taylor was having the altercation with, deputies said.

Charles Taylor was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm AFCF.

At last check, the victim was in surgery, but they are not sure of his condition.

Deputies questioned Charles' son 32-year-old Terry Taylor in connection with the shooting as well, but he was released.
