SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla. — The Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office said four missing children have been found safe.
The children disappeared Dec. 1 from a family member's home near Vian, Oklahoma, authorities said.
According to KNWA, they'd been missing around 12 hours when searchers found them below a steep bluff near Tenkiller Dam. Helicopter crews spotted the children about a mile from where they were last seen. Officials said the children were trapped between the steep bluff and a body of water.
Authorities said the children appeared to be safe, just very cold, according to KNWA. The children were checked by EMS and are now home.
