TULSA -- Tulsa Police have identified the man shot and killed August 9 near LaFortune Park as 17-year-old Christian Jones.
Officers responded to a home near 51st Street and Hudson around 9:30 p.m. August 9. Police say Jones was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Detectives questioned four people following the shooting and believe 19-year-old Jeremiah Peer (pictured below) was improperly handling the gun a gun at the time of the shooting.
Peer is now facing several charges including manslaughter, pointing a deadly weapon and reckless handling of a fire arm.
This is Tulsa's 53rd homicide of 2017.
