Tulsa, Okla-- A 17-year-old is dead after a shooting in midtown Wednesday night.

Officers responded to a home near 51st and Hudson at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday, and found the teen with a gunshot to his neck.

Paramedics transported him to St. Francis hospital, where he died at 10:14 p.m.

Detectives questioned four young adults after the shooting. They believe 19-year-old Jeremiah Peer was improperly handling the gun at the time, leading to the gunshot.

Officers say everyone involved knew each other, and there wasn't any sort of argument before the shooting.

They say Peer is now facing manslaughter, pointing a deadly weapon and reckless handling of a firearm complaints.

Police do not expect any further charges in this case.
