Police arrest suspect, Derreco Foster, in fatal hit-and-run that killed autistic teen

TULSA -- Police have arrested the man accused of hitting and killing a 16-year-old with an SUV before fleeing the scene.

Friday, police arrested Derreco Foster, 26 on complaints of hit and run causing personal death, driving without a license and driving with no insurance.

The hit-and-run happened on 31st Street near 90th East Avenue.

Witnesses told police the teen was wearing a black shirt and baseball shorts when the suspect hit him and drove off.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Earlier, the teen’s mother called police to report her autistic son missing. Police later linked the description of the boy to the hit-and-run victim.
