SKIATOOK, Okla. — The Osage County Sheriff's Department are investigating a body that was found in Skiatook Sunday evening that could be that of a missing woman.
The original call came in around 5:30 p.m. from two kayakers that found a body near a creek, just a few miles south of Skiatook.
It's near the location where Laura Pace's car was found after she went missing on Wednesday, June 12. The 51-year-old was last seen at the Skiatook Wal-mart.
The Osage County Sheriff's Department is waiting on identification and cause of death until the medical examiner's report.
