OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. — The Osage County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in searching for a missing woman.

Laura Pace is 51 years old, and she was last seen around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12.

Authorities say she was last seen at the Skiatook Wal-Mart and her car was located on 52nd W. Avenue, just south of Skiatook.

On Sunday, deputies reported that a body was found near a creek in Skiatook just a few miles downstream from where Laura's car was found.

Deputies haven't confirmed it's Laura's body. They're waiting on the medical examiner to confirm the identity and investigate the cause of death.

At this time, it's unclear why Laura went missing or if she was in any danger.
