MARLOW, Okla. — All a World War II from Oklahoma wanted for his birthday were people to send him birthday cards.

Well, Recil Troxel got exactly what he wished for.

According to KOCO, Troxel received more than 130,000 cards.

“I'm guessing he has received 130,000 and still coming in daily,” Troxel’s granddaughter, Tracy Nichols said to KOCO.

Family members told KOCO that they will host a birthday party for him over the weekend, and another one on his birthday. Because Troxel is an Oklahoma State Cowboys fan, Pistol Pete will stop by as well to wish him a happy birthday.

Troxel turns 93 on April 17.
