The Oklahoma State Board of Education is now having to strengthen the security of their digital meetings after their video conference was hacked Thursday.

About 20 minutes into the board's Zoom meeting, it was disrupted by racist and sexually explicit comments.

In a statement, the executive director of communications said, "This kind of incident is one of the unfortunate realities of doing business in the digital world."

The board has reported the hack to the Oklahoma Cyber Command Security Operations Center.
