Oklahoma Gov. Stitt posts photo of himself with Tesla's Elon Musk

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt posted a photo of himself with Tesla's CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday.

Stitt and Musk were at the NASA SpaceX mission that was delayed due to the weather. The mission has since been rescheduled for Saturday, May 30.

On May 15, Tesla announced they selected Tulsa and Austin, TX as finalists for its new assembly plant, according to a report by CNBC.

Tesla is an American electric vehicle and clean energy company headquartered in Palo Alto, California.

In a search for the perfect location for Tesla's fifth Gigafactory, executives reportedly visited two locations in Tulsa.

Although Tesla is eyeing the two mid-sized cities, it may also look into other possible locations nationwide.

City leaders and Tulsans are working to woo Tesla to build their next factory in Tulsa by painting Tulsa's Golden Driller and creating a "Tulsa for Tesla" video.

A second event is in the works, TOCO said in a Facebook post. The details have not been announced. However, TOCO said they will be welcoming executives from Tesla, and possibly Elon Musk, to Oklahoma, via Riverside Drive.
