Muskogee Police Investigating 4th of July Homicide

On July 4th at 9:50 p.m., Muskogee Police Officers reported to the area of Chandler Road and South Country Club Road for reports of a subject trying to force their way into a residence.

When officers arrived, they noticed the back patio glass door was broken out.

The suspect, Jarrod Godsey, was found deceased inside the residence.

The person living in the home, Russell Jobe, shot Godsey with a bow and arrow after he made entry into the house.

There were previous reports made over the last month about Godsey harassing Russell Jobe.
