OKMULGEE, Okla. — TIME named Muscogee (Creek) Nation Principal Chief David Hill to it's annual list of 100 most influential people in the world.
The 2020 TIME100 list is set to appear in the October 5th issue of TIME, according to a press release. This issue will be on newstands Friday, Sept. 25th and is currently online. CLICK HERE to read the full list of 2020 TIME 100.
Hill is recognized under the category, "Icons." Hill and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation are recognized for their fight in the McGirt v. Oklahoma case, which they won.
The Supreme Court ruled Oklahoma prosecutors lack the authority to pursue criminal cases in a large chunk of eastern Oklahoma that remains an American Indian reservation.
