Man Shot, Killed After Pursuit in Seminole County

Seminole County, Oklahoma - On Sunday May, 6th Prague Police Department received a call about a male subject assaulting a female while driving.

The Prague Police Department identified the subject's vehicle and initiated a pursuit southbound on Highway 377. Multiple agencies joined the pursuit to provide assistance.  

The male subject raised a rifle and officers from multiple agencies discharged their weapons. According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations, the male subject was pronounced dead at the scene. They are currently awaiting positive identification.

All officers are uninjured and no other persons were in the vehicle at the time the pursuit ended.

The Prague Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police, Seminole County Sherff's Office, and Seminole Police Department were all involved in the pursuit and/or shooting.

The scene is still being investigated by both OSBI and OHP.
