A man has been arrested on an accusation of first-degree murder in connection with a woman's death near Ochelata last week.
John Thomas was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting, which happened at the Prairie View Trailer Park, at West 2900 Road, near Ochelata.
Officials said Michele E. Mayes was found with a gunshot wound in the front yard of the trailer home.

Officials said Thomas was found with a gunshot wound to his upper torso area.
Deputies said there was a previous history of domestic violence between the victim and suspect.
Thomas is being held without bail.
