TULSA – An alleged suspect has been arrested in connection to a rape and kidnapping investigation after a man believed to be the initial suspect was cleared of all accusations.

Tulsa police say they have Evan Parrott, 27, in custody for one of the reported rapes from earlier this summer.

Parrott is believed to be connected to the sexual assault that reportedly occurred on August 7. According to the 24-year-old victim, the suspect scheduled to meet up with her after they met on the Plenty of Fish dating website, reports Tulsa police.

The victim told police that the two planned to meet at a local gas station. When the victim arrived, she said the suspect approached her with a gun and forced her into his vehicle. Then he drove to a field and raped her more than once, says police.

Official documents show that detectives were able to serve a subpoena requesting the IP address of the telephone number used to contact the victim.

Allegedly the phone number was linked to Evan Parrott, who was later arrested on complaint of one count of first degree rape and one count of kidnapping, as per Tulsa police.
