Police: No vehicles hit by shooter on Interstate 35 in Oklahoma City

UPDATE: Oklahoma City police now say no vehicles were hit in the shooting on Monday. Latest info here.

Interstate 35 lanes have reopened in the Oklahoma City area after a man was reportedly shooting at cars on the highway, KFOR reports.

The north and southbound lanes were closed between Northeast 10th Street and Northeast 23rd. The highway was closed for about six hours.

Reports indicate that the suspect involved in the incident was killed in gunfire with officers.

Police said the shooter was on the side of the interstate when he was shot and killed.

At least four vehicles were hit by the shooter, police said. There have been no reports of injuries.

The gunman has not been identified.
