Fmr. Tulsa Public Schools assistant athletic director sentenced for involvement in hit-and-run

TULSA – A former assistant athletic director with Tulsa Public Schools was arrested and sentenced this week for her involvement in a hit-and-run.

Elizabeth Herbert was arrested for leaving the scene of a traffic collision with great bodily injury in a March wreck. She also pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to spend 20 months behind bars. 

Herbert is accused of hitting a woman in downtown Tulsa then driving away. The victim’s condition was listed as serious but stable back in March.

According to Tulsa Public Schools, Herbert was an assistant athletic director from August 2008 to April of 2016.
