According to the Muskogee Police Department, the Muskogee officer who wounded a suspect earlier this month has been cleared by the Muskogee District Attorney.

The District Attorney says that the actions by police officer, Josh Jenkins, were justified in connection to the shooting of Darnell Cox.

Officer Jenkins shot the suspect, later identified as Darnell Cox in early Sept, officers say.

Cox was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening wounds, and survived.

The DA documents state that Jenkins shot Cox after he moved to throw a Molotov cocktail towards Jenkins and Cox's mother.
