TULSA – A couple was arrested this week after police discovered injuries on their 4-month-old baby.
Clinton Harvey, 32, and Samantha Harvey, 27, were charged with felony child neglect Monday after police discovered bruises and injuries on their daughter’s face and head, as per Tulsa police.
Tulsa police say the couple’s 4-month-old daughter, 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old daughter were previously placed in a safety plan by DHS.
On Feb. 5, 2016 the parents say they discovered injuries on the 4-month-old child. Police say the couple informed them that they left the child in the care of “other adult residents,” but when they asked other neighbors, they said “they were unaware the child had been left at the apartment.”
Police say after investigating, they found that drugs, in particular meth, were being used in the home where the child was found.
Officers say the felony child neglect charges stemmed from the lack of supervision, drug use, being unaware of the injuries and the delayed reaction in seeking medical attention for the injuries.
