TULSA -- Tulsa County deputies are investigating after a homeowner shot an intruder early Friday near 136th Street North and Memorial, deputies say.
Authorities say the 33-year-old suspect was found about 300 yards from the home and the homeowner shot him at least twice.

The homeowner told police he shot the man after he tried to break in through the back door.Two children were asleep inside the home at the time.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
Residents in the area said the homeowner did the right thing.
"Oklahoma has laws that support the homeowner protecting himself and his family," said resident Glenda Nelson. "And I think the laws are well publicized. I think most people are aware of them and I think many would not hesitate to use force they need to protect their families"
Investigators say they found multiple firearms outside the home they believe belonged to the suspect.
