Bixby pipe bomb suspect found not guilty by reason of insanity

A man charged with blowing up a pipe bomb outside an Air Force recruiting office in Bixby back in July was found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Court documents say Brandon Roden, 28, proved "by evidence given that he suffered from a severe mental disease when he committed the offenses and he was not able to understand what he was doing."

In July 2017, the Associated Press reported that prosecutors said Roden set off a pipe bomb outside an Air Force recruiting center in Oklahoma left that branch of the military when he couldn't complete the training required to become a certified electrician.
