TULSA – The autopsy report for the elderly man who went missing from the Tulsa airport in December was released this week.
According to the medical examiner’s office, Coy Looper, 69, died of accidental drowning after he went missing in his white 1997 Dodge Intrepid.
Looper was parked in front of the Tulsa International Airport when officers approached him and informed him he was parked in the shuttle only lane. Looper told officers he was waiting for his wife and he was not able to drive alone. Officers say they went to search for his wife and when they returned Looper was missing.
The report indicates that Looper was in the driver seat when he was found.
