Here are a few ways to host the perfect college hoops party:

Do you have people in attendance who chose the correct final teams in their brackets? How about spurring a friendly wager: The person who finishes with the best bracket at the end of the game you're watching gets $5 from everyone. Or gets to select the person who cleans up after the party.

Pinterest has you covered on basketball theme food ideas. Here are two recipes that are sure to score you some major points with your guests:

Basketball Bean Dip (from mychinet.com)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup prepared guacamole
1 can diced tomatoes (drained)
1 can refried beans or refried black beans
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1/2 cup low-fat sour cream
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Sliced olives
Tortilla chips

How to make it:
Place crushed tortilla chips on the bottom of a plate. Layer shredded lettuce, chopped onion, drained tomatoes and guacamole. In a small mixing bowl, mix the refried beans, taco seasoning and the sour cream together. Spread on top of the guacamole with a spatula. Sprinkle cheese on top of the bean mixture. Arrange sliced olives to make the lines of the basketball and serve with tortilla chips.
