OKLAHOMA - The national weather service has confirmed that a tornado is responsible for causing damage to an Oklahoma park.
NWS Tulsa says a tornado did in fact touch down in Greenleaf State Park near Braggs, Oklahoma.

The tornado caused extensive damage to the park, snapping and uprooting trees. Greenleaf now plans to hire outside contractors to help clean up the park.
The park will be closed for the next three weeks. Park officials say the damage is also taking its toll on local business.
McAlester Marina was forced to close 40 boat slips and a fishing dock.
