The Tulsa State Fair kicked off on Thursday, and is sure to hold 11 days of awesome here in Tulsa. With so many rides and attractions outside, many Tulsans want to know is how will the weather be when I plan to go?
If you are headed out there today through the weekend, we will see very seasonable weather conditions. Partly cloudy conditions with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s are expected.
Starting on Monday next week we will see a ridge of high pressure build into the area that will bring us a warming trend, but will keep us dry. Highs will warm into the mid 80s.
What we are watching, and what could cause a little change in your perfect Fair forecast, is a front that may sweep through the area by mid to late week. We typically look at several forecast models to get information on our ever-changing weather. Right now, there seems to be a little discrepancy between the models on how this ridge of high pressure will fair to an approaching cool front.
Some models are keeping the ridge strong and conditions dry, but others are suggesting a chance for some rain by Wednesday through Friday as the front moves through the area. This could bring some showers to the area by the second half of the week.
As of now, it looks like following (and final) weekend will be dry, though - which is great news!
Aside from some warmer conditions, it looks like we lucked out this year with some pretty great weather for the State Fair!
