Late Saturday night tornadoes and severe storms moved across the Mid-Mississippi River Valley resulting in several deaths, the first weather related deaths that the area has seen in 283 days.
Now, many are picking up the pieces from Kentucky to Arkansas. The National Weather Service confirmed nine different tornadoes.
In addition to the storms, Paducah, Kentucky is dealt with major flooding. The Ohio river rose to 48 feet, which is 10 feet above flood stage. Emergency teams were out installing more flood gates over the weekend.
This week, the area is expecting more rain. In fact, Arkansas is back under a "slight" risk for severe storms Wednesday afternoon.
