After a couple days with fairly warm temperatures for this time of year, another strong cold front associated with an upper-level system will move through our area from the Rockies.

This cold front will usher in some more bitterly cold temperatures over the weekend. Our average high is 51 degrees, we'll be well below that over the weekend. Our high temperatures will stay in the 30's through the weekend with lows in the 20's.

We may even see some precipitation chances over the weekend as well. The amounts appear very light at this point, but as we know, any precip with sub-freezing temps will cause problems. It appears we could see some freezing drizzle off and on through the weekend which may form a light glaze on elevated surfaces and bridges and overpasses.

After the weekend we look to start a slow warming trend with high temps on the increase through early next week.
