The Tulsa International Airport received 4.82" of rain in February making it the 5th wettest February on record. The most rain Tulsa has ever received in February was 5.74" in 1985.
The average amount of rainfall we usually receive in February is 1.85", normally the 2nd driest month we see each year.
This heavy rain came when we needed it most. Most of Oklahoma was dealing with severe drought conditions after seeing the 11th driest January on record.
