WINTER WEATHER: Highway Conditions 2-6-2020 as of 5 a.m.

Due to the freezing temperatures in central and eastern Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews are reporting black ice conditions across the state this morning. Crews continue to treat highways and interstates with salt and sand. Travelers should be alert to slick areas quickly developing, especially on bridges and overpasses. In the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metros, crews continue to treat isolated slick spots as many developed overnight.

Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution when traveling. Pavements that appear wet may actually have a thin coating of ice. Go slow and drive for the conditions.
