If you’re looking for a fun and safe activity for your kids this Halloween, Target is holding a free contactless trick-or-treating event on Halloween morning.

The retailer’s Boo Avenue Drive-Thru will take place Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at participating locations, while supplies last. Target employees will be offering up fun activities and treats while you stay safe in your vehicle for a contactless and socially distanced trick-or-treating experience.

You can decorate your car and wear a costume, though neither are mandatory for participation. You do not even need to sign up ahead of time, just show up and have fun!

If you have a Lowe’s near you, the home improvement store is also offering free trick-or-treating. Their curbside Halloween fun is taking place at all locations nationwide from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 29. All you need to do to attend is visit their website to reserve a spot, then drive up to your local Lowe’s and receive free candy and a small pumpkin. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Walmart is also transforming more than 100 of its store parking lots into trick-or-treat adventures that are both contact-free and socially distanced. The events, which are free, run through Halloween. Because not every Walmart is participating, however, you’ll want to check with your local store before heading out.

Other free Halloween goodies for your kids this year include a free Frank Monster, Drake Monster and Wolfie Monster (or other doughnut of your choice) from Krispy Kreme if you visit your local shop on Halloween while wearing a costume.

Over at IHOP, kids ages 12 and younger can get a free Mr. Mummy pancake if they dine-in Oct. 26-30 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. If ordering online using the IHOP mobile app or website, you can get the free pancake by spending $20 or more and using the code FREEMUMMY.

The Mr. Mummy pancake is one large, green pancake topped with “bandages” made from cream cheese icing, eyes made of banana slices and chocolate chips and a smile made from bright purple whipped topping. You can customize it to remove the banana slices, chocolate chips or whipped topping if you prefer.
