TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa football game against Navy is postponed.

According to the University of Tulsa, the game is postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases at the Naval Academy and continued contact tracing of athletes.

“We knew that this season would be different in the face of the pandemic, and unfortunately has forced another weekend without football for our team,” said Tulsa’s Director of Athletics Rick Dickson. “I’m disappointed for our football student-athletes and coaches who continue to work and practice diligently, but it reinforces the challenge facing all programs.”

This is the third time a TU football game is being postponed due to coronavirus cases. The other games included Arkansas State and Cincinnati.

Officials said since Tulsa and Navy do not share common open dates for the rest of the season, the American is considering several options to the playing of the contest.

Next Saturday, Nov. 14th, TU will be hosting 18th ranked SMU at the H.A. Chapman Stadium. Kick off is at 6 p.m. and it will air on ESPN2.
