NORMAN, Okla. — OU Sooner football coach Lincoln Riley announced on Tuesday that redshirt freshman Spencer Rattler is starting the season as OU's starting quarterback.
Rattler is the top quarterback in the 2019 high school recruiting class and the number 9 prospect on 247's list. In high school he set a state record for passing yards.
Rattler saw action in three games for OU last year, he was 7 for 11 with 81 yards and a touchdown.
