STILLWATER, Okla. — On a day when OSU honored the 'Greatest Cowboy' Boone Pickens, the Cowboys ran wild to keep themselves in the Big 12 hunt.
The afternoon began by unveiling a nine-foot-tall statue of the man whose name runs atop the football stadium in Stillwater; Boone Pickens became just the third person in OSU history enshrined with a statue on campus.
In a word, the game versus Texas Tech was crazy. OSU scored three times with backup running back Dezmon Jackson, who only had 18 career carries coming in to the day. Jackson ended with 235 yards on the ground.
The Cowboys also took an interception back for a touchdown, and scored on a surprise Texas Tech onside kick attempt.
Tylan Wallace shined on senior day, catching seven passes for 129 yards and a touchdown. Spencer Sanders threw for 222 yards, that touchdown, an unwise interception, and added a rushing score.
Up next for OSU is a road battle at TCU on Dec. 5. The Pokes are now 5-2 in Big 12 play - third in the conference behind Iowa State and OU.
